About Ad Genius
Ad Genius is a digital marketing agency for established home service and professional service businesses competing in saturated local markets. We help business owners invest in the right marketing activities, in the right order, at the right levels, based on where they actually are, not where a generic playbook assumes they should be.
We are a growth partner, not a vendor. Our clients are not buying a campaign. They are building a system, and they expect an agency that understands the difference.
How We Got Here
Ad Genius started the way a lot of agencies do. Brett Williamson was running digital advertising for local businesses, results were strong, and clients started asking for more. So the agency grew. More services, more clients, more verticals, more channels.
The problem with going wide without going deep is that you stop operating from a results-oriented playbook and start doing custom one-off projects, disconnected deliverables, and tactics that have no through-line. We were selling channels because clients asked for channels, and we gave them what they asked for. Ads. Then a website. Then SEO. Each piece in isolation, each measured against its own narrow metric.
What we kept learning, engagement after engagement, was that single-channel work underperforms because the levers do not operate independently. Ads without a converting website waste budget. SEO without authority signals stalls. Leads without a speed-to-lead system evaporate. When website quality, search visibility, authority, customer journey, conversion rate, user experience, and lead response all move together, results accelerate in ways that no individual channel produces on its own.
That observation changed how we operate. We stopped selling channels and started building systems. We stopped taking every project that came through the door and started working with businesses where the full stack could be deployed and the results would be real, measurable, and defensible.
Today Ad Genius works with established businesses in specific verticals where the operational economics of marketing investment make sense, the clients are serious about growth, and we can hold ourselves accountable to outcomes that show up in revenue, not just in reports.
Brett Williamson
Brett Williamson founded Ad Genius and leads its strategic direction. Before building the agency, he spent years in financial services as a licensed investment advisor with United Planners as his broker-dealer, holding securities and insurance licenses across multiple categories. He also spent more than twenty years in pastoral ministry. Those two paths, one built around financial responsibility and one built around people, shaped how he thinks about business in ways that a marketing background alone rarely produces.
Most marketing advice is tactical. It tells business owners what to spend and where to spend it without grounding those recommendations in the financial reality of the business. Brett approaches marketing the way a financial advisor approaches a portfolio: what are your constraints, what are your goals, what is your current position, and what is the right allocation given all of that? The answer is different for a company at eight hundred thousand dollars in revenue than it is for one at three million, and the recommendations should reflect that difference.
That combination of experience is what shapes how Ad Genius approaches every client relationship. We do not start by recommending channels. We start by understanding the business.
The Team
Brett leads strategy and client relationships. He assembled a team of specialists with defined roles across web development, SEO, paid media, content, and reporting. Where other agencies hire task managers, Ad Genius hires people who think strategically, hold themselves to a high standard, and care whether the work actually performs.Every client account has people behind it who own their discipline and are accountable for the outcomes of their work. That structure exists because results require more than good intentions. They require a system where each function is handled by someone who lives it every day, knows what success looks like, and is responsible when it does not happen. Each account is built around what the client actually requires, coordinated under a single strategic direction, and measured against outcomes that matter.

Who We Work With
Ad Genius works best with established businesses that have real revenue, real customers, and a genuine commitment to growth. Our clients are not running a pilot. They are making a serious investment in what comes next, and they expect the agency they work with to match that.
Our primary focus is home service contractors and professional service businesses operating in competitive local markets. HVAC companies, roofing contractors, electrical businesses, painting contractors, and professional services firms where trust, credibility, and buyer decision cycles are the primary growth constraints.
We work with businesses that are already running and want to grow, not startups looking for their first customers. Marketing cannot fix a business that is not ready for it, and we are honest about that from the first conversation.
How We Work
Every client engagement begins the same way regardless of size, vertical, or where they found us. We start with a diagnostic conversation about the business: current revenue, growth constraints, what has been tried, what the operation can actually absorb, and where the real opportunities are.
From that conversation we build a prioritized recommendation, not a proposal for every service we offer. The recommendation reflects what should happen first, what can wait, and what level of investment is appropriate given where the business is today. That sequencing matters more than the tactics themselves.
Once the engagement begins, we operate as an extension of the business rather than an outside vendor. We communicate directly, report on what actually matters, and adjust based on what the data shows rather than what the original plan assumed.
Our clients do not receive a dashboard and a monthly email. They receive a partner who understands their business and is accountable to their results.
What We Stand For
Ready to Talk?
If you operate an established business and want a direct assessment of what is limiting your growth and what should happen first, start with a conversation.
You will not speak with a salesperson. You will not receive a proposal for services you did not ask about. You will leave with a clearer picture of where your marketing stands and what is worth doing next.
For established businesses that are serious about growth, not testing the water.
Mission-Driven Giving
Ad Genius supports a group of organizations whose work reflects values that shaped Brett long before this agency existed. Our giving partners include Phoenix Dream Center, Thrive Arizona, Teen Challenge USA, Convoy of Hope, and the Southwest Veterans Foundation. Their work spans human trafficking recovery, youth services, addiction rehabilitation, disaster relief, and veteran support. We support them because the work matters, not because it looks good on a website. For Brett, these are not causes he discovered when starting a business. They are organizations he has been part of for a long time, and the agency’s involvement follows from that.
Our involvement with these organizations allows us to contribute to significant causes, such as combatting human trafficking, aiding those recovering from addiction, and supporting our veterans. This engagement is a core aspect of our identity at Ad Genius, reflecting our commitment to fostering genuine relationships and supporting our community both locally and beyond.
